New art installation at Lewis and Clark Library
The Lewis and Clark Library in Helena, Montana, has a new art installation titled "Oro y Plata" -- Colors of Montana", created by artist John Waltner. The mobile sculpture is made of aluminum, stainless steel, and acrylic, and it features geometric shapes in vibrant colors that are inspired by Montana's natural beauty.
Waltner says that he was inspired to create the piece after visiting the library with his family and looking up into the empty space above the books. He felt that his art could fill in the space and add a touch of color and whimsy to the library's environment.
The installation has been well-received by library staff and patrons alike. John Finn, the director of the Lewis and Clark Library, says that he is "very pleased" with the way the piece turned out. He also says that the installation has been a "great conversation piece" among library visitors.
"Oro y Plata" -- Colors of Montana" is a beautiful and eye-catching addition to the Lewis and Clark Library, and it is sure to be enjoyed by visitors for many years to come.
