No. 11 Penn State Nittany Lions defeat Michigan State Spartans, 42-0

In a dominant performance on Black Friday, the No. 11 Penn State Nittany Lions defeated the Michigan State Spartans 42-0. The Nittany Lions were led by quarterback Drew Allar, who threw for 292 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Kaytron Allen also had a strong game, rushing for a career-high 137 yards.

The Nittany Lions controlled the game from the start, scoring touchdowns on their first three drives. Allar threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Allen late in the first half to give Penn State a 13-0 lead. The Nittany Lions then scored two touchdowns in the second quarter to extend their lead to 28-0 at halftime.

Penn State continued to pour it on in the second half, scoring two more touchdowns to make the final score 42-0. The Nittany Lions' defense was also impressive, holding the Spartans to just 187 yards of total offense.

The win was Penn State's tenth of the season and moved them to 7-2 in the Big Ten. Michigan State fell to 4-8 with the loss.

Here are some of the key takeaways from the game:

  • The Nittany Lions' offense was clicking on all cylinders. Allar was efficient in the passing game, and Allen was a force on the ground.
  • The Nittany Lions' defense was stifling. They held the Spartans to just 3.1 yards per carry and forced two turnovers.
  • The Nittany Lions are now in a good position to earn a New Year's Six bowl bid.

Penn State will look to close out their season with a win over Maryland next week. The game will be played at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pennsylvania.
