Shedeur Sanders battered, knocked out of Colorado football game against Washington State
Shedeur Sanders, Colorado's starting quarterback, was battered and knocked out of the Buffaloes' game against Washington State on Saturday.
Sanders was sacked four times and hit numerous other times by the Cougars' defense. He left the game in the third quarter after being hit hard on a pass.
Sanders' injury leaves Colorado with a major question mark at quarterback. The Buffaloes have already lost two quarterbacks to injury this season, and Sanders is their third-string option.
It is unclear how long Sanders will be out. Colorado coach Karl Dorrell said after the game that Sanders will be evaluated on Sunday.
If Sanders is out for an extended period of time, it could be a major blow to Colorado's hopes of making a bowl game this season. The Buffaloes are currently 2-6 and need to win at least three of their remaining four games to become bowl eligible.
