Jamie Foxx Sued for Alleged Sexual Assault at New York Bar

The woman, who is identified in the lawsuit only as Jane Doe, alleges that Foxx groped her and put his hands under her clothing against her will. The incident allegedly took place in a secluded corner of the Catch NYC rooftop lounge after Jane Doe and a friend had approached Foxx and had their pictures taken with him.

Jane Doe's lawsuit also names Catch NYC and its owner, Mark Birnbaum, as defendants. She alleges that the restaurant and bar failed to prevent the alleged assault from happening.

Foxx's attorney, Allison Hart, has denied the allegations in a statement to Rolling Stone. "Mr. Foxx is an innocent man, and we will vigorously defend against this unmeritorious claim," Hart said. "We are confident that the truth will come out."

The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages.

A hearing on the case is scheduled for December 19, 2023.
